Obituary of Robert Anthony Konikowski, Jr.

Robert “Rocky” Konikowski, Jr., age 41, of Glen Spey, NY passed away March 29, 2022 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, NY. He was born January 5, 1981 in Middletown, NY, the son of Robert Konikowski, Sr. and Marion DeGroat Konikowski. Rocky enjoyed working on cars and possessed a special talent in auto body, especially painting and lettering. He is survived by his parents Robert and Marion Konikowski of Glen Spey, his sister Sierra Banach and her husband Justin of Glen Spey, his paternal grandmother, Barbara Konikowski of Guilford, NY, his maternal grandfather, Dennis DeGroat, of Port Jervis, his beloved nieces and nephews; Destiny, Jayson, Bella, Steffen, Karter and his baby niece and nephew, his godmother Valerie Warren, his godfather Harry DeGroat, several aunts and uncles and his beloved dog, Roxie. Robert was pre-deceased by his maternal grandmother, Marion DeGroat, his paternal grandfather Anthony Konikowski, his maternal uncle, Dennis DeGroat and his paternal aunt, Joanne Wieboldt. Robert had such a big heart and he lived for all his nieces and nephews, he loved them more than anything. Visitation and services will be private at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Rev. Matthew Newcomb will officiate. Private interment will take place at Rural Valley Cemetery, Cuddebackville, NY.
