Clare E. Aumick, age 80, of Port Jervis, NY passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on November 2, 1941 in Matamoras, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Theodore E. and Winifred Worzel Aumick. Clare retired as a supervisor for Gillinder Brothers Glass Co. in Port Jervis. In his earlier years he worked in construction with the labor union, Local 472. He was an avid model train enthusiast with an extensive display of model trains and equipment. Clare married Mary Lou McGaw on September 28, 1963, who survives at home. He is also survived by his son Michael Aumick and his wife Pauline of Port Jervis, his daughter Penny Quick and her husband Walter of Shohola, Pennsylvania, his brother Glenn Aumick and his wife Linda of Sparrowbush, NY, his sister Shirley Lane and her husband Gary of Pennsylvania, his beloved grandchildren; Bryanne Jensen and her husband Benjamin, Jessica Aumick Hamilton and her husband Douglas, and Aaron Aumick and his wife Cory; his beloved great grandchildren; Kayla, Sadie Claire, Lilliya, Marlon and Silas, his two sisters-in-law, Patricia Anderson and her husband John of Port Jervis, and Rose Aumick of Montague, New Jersey, and brother-in-law James McGaw Jr. of Port Jervis, several nieces and nephews. Clare was pre-deceased by his sister, Rosemary Aumick, his brothers, Arthur “Butch” Aumick, and Dennis Aumick. Special thank you to Barbara Bell for her wonderful care she provided to Clare. Visitation will be held 4-7 PM, Monday, April 18, 2022 at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Funeral services will be held 6:15 PM, Monday, April 18 at the funeral home. Rev. Thomas Mortenson will officiate. Interment will take place on Tuesday in Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, NY at the convenience of the family.
