Obituary of Marie M. Buchanan

Marie M. Buchanan of Milford died peacefully on September 7, 2022 at Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice, Fredon, NJ.  She was 72. 

The daughter of the late Al and Rose Carfagno Lauriti, she was born February 27, 1950 in the Bronx, NY. 

Marie was the former CFO & COO at MedExcel USA Inc., New Windsor, NY, a company that specialized in staffing emergency room doctors.  In addition to her career at MedExcel Marie had a long extensive career in the Health Care Industry.  Marie enjoyed fine dining, italian cooking, golfing and reading.  

Her family wishes to share: Marie dedicated her life to her family and friends, she was always warm, welcoming and hospitable. She was a wonderful hostess, always knew the right things to say and never missed a special date.  There wasn't a person who met her that didn't feel the warmth of her spirit. Spending time with the people she loved was her joy in life. We will cherish the memories of her love in our hearts forever and miss her greatly.  

Beloved wife of Carl M. Buchanan Jr. at home.  Devoted mother of Tammy Allison of Ulster County, NY.  Cherished grandmother of Cody Allison (Lindsey), Taylor Allison and Olivia Allison.  Great grandmother of Liam Allison.  Dear sister of Adele Calhoun and the late Bert, Frank and John Lauriti.  Fond daughter in law of Loretta Buchanan and the late Carl M. Buchanan.  Marie will be misssed by her extensive network of friends, colleagues, nieces, nephews and cousins. 

The family requested that donations be made to Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice in Marie's Memory. 

Committal services will take place Friday, September 30th 11:00AM Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, NY.
