Obituary of Virginia A. Holmberg

Virginia A. Holmberg a longtime resident of Port Jervis and more recently of Matamoras died October 16, 2022 at Bon Secours Community Hospital.  She was 86. 

Virginia worked as a housekeeper at Bon Secours through New Directions for many years.  Her family will remember her for her compassionate heart and willingness to help anyone in need.  She was a kind soul who would give the shirt off her back to someone who needed it.  

Virginia is reunited in death with her husband Walter Holmberg Jr, her son William "Billy" Holmberg, grandson Kevin Brouillard and daughter in law Donna Holmberg.  

Devoted mother of John Holmberg of Port Jervis, Walter J. Holmberg (Crystal) of Tennessee and Grace Brouillard (Anthony Balestrino) of Milford.  Dear grandmother of Christopher, Bridget, Becky, Ivanna, Edward, Angela, Brian, Destiny and Michael.  Great grandmother of 12.  

Visitation Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:00 PM.  Funeral Procession will form Thursday 9:15AM from the KNIGHT-AUCHMOODY Funeral Home 154 East Main Street Port Jervis NY.  Funeral Mass Thursday 10AM St. Mary's RC Church Port Jervis.  Interment to immediately follow St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Jervis.
