Obituary of Joyce Spangenberg

Joyce Marie Spangenberg of Statesville NC passed away on February 22, 2023. She was a long time resident of Port Jervis and was active in the Drew United Methodist Church. Joyce was born on July 15,1931 in East Stroudsburg PA. She graduated from East Stroudsburg College with a teaching degree. After her marriage to David Spangenberg they ran Spangenberg’s IGA in Port Jervis. 

Joyce is predeceased by her husband David and sister Joan Schwartz. She is survived by her sister Wihelmina Rollins, son John Spangenberg (Karen), daughters Karen West (Tom) and Kathy Doran (James), grandchildren Matthew, Kelsey, Alethea (Lea) and Taylor, and great granddaughters Kara and Lena.

 A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Drew United Methodist Church of Port Jervis.
