Obituary of Harrison Felter

Harrison “Harry” Felter, age 89 of Sparrowbush, NY passed away Monday, October 4, 2021 at The Milford Health Care Facility in Milford, PA. Harry was born on May 19, 1932 in Sparrowbush, NY; the son of Frank and Gertrude Quick Felter. He proudly served our country from 1951-1953 with the US Army during the Korean War. Harry retired as an assembler for Ford Motor Co, in Mahwah, New Jersey. After his retirement, he worked for Kolmar Labs, Inc in Port Jervis. Harry was an avid hunter and a life member of the Red Rock Hunting Club and a member of the Mamakating Hunting Club. He was a former member of Engine Company #1, Sparrowbush Fire Dept. Harry married Marie Sullivan Felter, who pre-deceased him in 2010. He is survived by his three sons; James Felter and his wife Beverly of Beaufort, S.C., Kevin Felter and his wife Diane of The Villages, Florida and Brian Felter and his wife Sandy of Sparrowbush, his beloved grandchildren; Eileen Fuentes; Steven, Dylan and Danielle Felter; Lauren and Kyle Felter, his four great grandchildren; Jaydon, Hollie, Caleb and Ava. Harry was pre-deceased by his siblings; Marie Cuddebackville, Effie King, Frank, Robert, William, Richard, Donald, Lester and Fred Felter. Visitation will be held 11am-1pm on Monday, October 11th at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Funeral services will follow at 1pm at the funeral home with Rev. Amy Garret officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, NY. Arrangements are by the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY.
