Obituary of Keith John Edwards

Keith John Edwards, 37, passed away on June 22, 2023. He was born on January 15, 1986, in Queens, New York, to his parents, Keith Edwards and Dr. Izetta Briggs-Bolling.

Keith was a loving father, son, brother, and friend. He had a passion for sports and music and loved to mentor youth. His talent was admired by many.

After graduating from Bishop Moore High School, Keith enlisted in US Marine Corps. While in the Marines, he also attended the University of Phoenix. As a marine, Keith rose to the ranking of E3. He was a Supply Clerk (EAS). While serving his country, Keith lived in Japan, took an Afghanistan tour, and ended his military career in Cherry Point, NC. Following his Marine career, he obtained his commercial driver’s license. Keith utilized this skill set to accept Pepsi Co. & Baxter Dialysis Services positions. After his career in the trucking industry, he began a new career path in the hospitality industry. With Keith’s infectious and charming personality, he thrived in the hospitality industry becoming the general manager of Holiday Inn, Middletown NY. Keith continued this career path to his most recent role as the front desk manager at the Home 2 Suites, Middletown, NY. Keith will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious smile, and ability to welcome everyone. He had a great sense of humor and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

This was evidenced by his long-term commitment and service to his home church Faith Tabernacle International Ministries, where he held the Usher, Videographer, and Security positions.

Keith was preceded in death by his loving grandmothers Myrtle Amos and Renee Briggs.

Keith is survived by his children: Aneesa Edwards, Haylee Meyers, Keith John Edwards Jr., Kyng Justice Edwards, and the pending arrival of his daughter Majesty Edwards. Bonus children Neyvon James, Savion Rhodes, Eligah Brown, and Malachi Graham-McFarlane. His fiancée Aljera Graham. His mother, Dr. Izetta Briggs-Bolling and her husband George Bolling, his father, Keith Edwards and his wife Fatimah Edwards. His siblings, Matthew Hodge, Anthony Hodge Jr., Ashanti Edwards, Shamari Edwards, Shakari Edwards. Grandmother Edna Sams, Aunts & Uncles Lashawn & Frank Williams, Mitchell & Lynette Williams, Toya Summers & John Spruill. His former spouse Amber Baggie, host of cousins and close friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday June 6/28 from 11:00AM to 12:00 PM at Faith Tabernacle International Ministries 20 Franklin Street, Port Jervis NY 12771.  Funeral Service to immediately follow at 12:00 Noon.  A private cremation will take place following services.
