Fred was a friendly, easy-going guy. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He had a good sense of humor and was always very kind to me. He will be missed.

Dad we will miss you dearly!!! I remember so many pancake breakfasts you made and have to have peanut butter on them with a big cup of milk ( I never could do the ice though) I miss the family gatherings we had when I was little ….how I cherish those memories!! Miss being able to call you and come by being so far away made it harder. Know that you will always be in my heart! You helped me become who I am today! ❤️ your daughter Jennifer

Dear Alice and family, we are broken-hearted to learn of Fred’s passing. We have fond memories shared with him at Walnut Creek Resort on Lake Texoma. Particularly all the campfires ( Fred always made the best ones) New Year’s Eve parties, birthday parties especially Polly’s ! Fred, you left us way too soon… RIP dear friend… until we meet again.
Love, Bruce and Ruth Holley

Uncle Fred,
Thank you for always be a loving, understanding, and consistent father figure throughout my life. I always knew that you and Alice were there for great conversations and belly laughs. Your beautiful smile and warm hugs made me feel safe in this crazy wonderful life.
I know I get my love for milk on ice, Karo syrup on pancakes, and a cold beer in a coozie from you. I also know that our mutual dislike for all things pineapple and people talking to us before we have had our 1st morning cup of coffee is real!! I know you have been reunited with Grandma and Grandpa and are enjoying some chicken and noodles, ham loaf, and coconut cream pie!
Now rest in peace you Knucklehead!!! Love, Gretchen

We were roommates for 3 years in Germany. Fred was my best man at my wedding. It was his energy, humor and friendship that I will always treasure. He carried me home many an evening physically, and carried me emotionally through some dark and long days that we served together.
I’ll miss you my friend.

I'll always remember you and all the great times our family had together. From county fairs and Fourth of July parades to summers at the lake in PA and fun in NYC (and so much more) we made some incredible memories. I'm so grateful. Thank you for being such a loving grandfather (Pops!) to Rhyan and Jordyn and father-in-law to me. I enjoyed our relationship so much. Your laugh, smile and presence will missed. This hurts badly right now but I know your memory will make us smile again soon. It turns out that you helping me install the American flag on my house was one of our final experiences together, along with loading the girls' camp trunks into the car. How fitting. I love you and will miss you. Rest in Peace, Fred (Pops!).
- Andrew

As Fred's cousin, and being that our family were so close, I have many fond memories. Camping at the lake near Fredonia KS. A cookout at his house in the country. Family dinners. The thing I remember most is his laugh. Deep and genuine. He will missed

What great times we had at Walnut Creek. Everyone getting together at one of Fred’s fires. We will never forget the wonderful New Year’s parties and birthdays. We still miss you.
