I remember Darius fondly. Always a friendly dude with a smile for all. A memory I have is hanging out at West End beach watching the softball games, a cooler full of beer and George Thorogood coming from the speakers of Darius’ Landcruiser. RIP. ❤️

We spent years working side by side at Monticello Raceway he was always a great friend. Darius was very well liked and respected by all the employees of the track. He will be missed by family and friends the world lost one of the good ones.

Dear Patty and family Karin and I are so sorry for your loss. The first memory of Darius is when he came bow hunting with me and I haven’t seen a deer all year. He comes and shoots a 6 in the first two hours. We laughed all the way back to the house. Darius will truly be missed

Darius, DJ, is my brother from another mother. We have been friends for more than half a century. I have so many memories, from cruising the country roads as teenagers, swimming at the indoor pool in Otisville, be mischievous at the Minisink Lanes. We had the insane idea of getting an apartment with Bones (Wayne Stevenson) which was called Tranquility Retreat. It was the only apartment that I lived in that had rules and regulations posted on the front door. Limit 10 people, 4 cars, out by midnight. We worked together on the railroad. I could go on. Darius you had the kindest heart of anybody I knew, it is unfathomable that God stopped it from beating when he did, while helping one of you best friends. God took you home to prove to us, he only takes the best.

Darius and Patti’s beautiful daughter, Kasey married our nephew Jesse. We first met when they came to visit us in Arizona. My husband and I will cherish that time we spent together getting to know one another. It was such a comfort knowing that our nephew married into such a loving family. After that visit, we all felt like family. A truly wonderful man, father, husband and pop. He will be sorely missed by all. Darius and I worked together at Monticello Raceway,some times we drove in together. This night after work it was snowing so hard we could see almost nothing and driving slowly. Darius decided to run ahead of the line of cars and direct us with his flash light.I still smile every time I think of him ,especially when it snows.Love Rosie
