Obituary of Margaret R. Mills

Margaret R. Mills, age 78 of Port Jervis, NY passed away, October 18, 2021 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on March 31, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of James Agrella and Louise Ferris. Margaret retired as a nurse’s aide at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis after many years of dedicated service. She was a former member of Most Sacred Heart RC Church in Port Jervis and the Port Jervis Seniors. Margaret married James A. Mills, who pre-deceased her. Her greatest love in life was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, celebrating special events and spending many beautiful vacations at the beach. She is survived by her daughter, Carol McLaughlin Nivens of Port Jervis, her three sons; Bill McLaughlin and his wife Laura of Florida, NY, Christopher McLaughlin of Scranton, PA, and Jason Mills and his wife Andrea of Port Jervis, her beloved grandchildren; Ryan McLaughlin, Alyssa Howell and her husband Shawn, Jenna McLaughlin, Lauren Amato and her husband John, Johnny Nivens and his fiancé Kayla Sorensen, Nicholas McLaughlin, Matthew Strucic and his wife Rachel, Kris, Donna Strucic, Isabella and Lucca Mills her great grandchildren; Evan, Brianna and Christian Strucic. Margaret was pre-deceased by her daughter, Margaret McLaughlin Strucic. Visitation will be held 12 noon-1:30 PM, Thursday, October 21, at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM, Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. Ivan Csete will officiate. Interment will follow at Rural Valley Cemetery, Cuddebackville, NY.
