From as far back as I can remember until I left for college, John Kurtick was my next door neighbor. Since Kathryn was my childhood best friend, I had quite a bit of contact with him. I remember when I first started visiting he would try to make me nervous. It didn't take long to figure out that this was just part of his sense of humor. He was always busy. If he wasn't hunting or fishing, he would be working on the house or a car. He was a wonderful person, wonderful teacher, and a great neighbor. Deepest sympathies to the families of Kathryn and Theresa. May he rest in peace.

Oh, how we'll miss John. A godfather like no other; a bright mind, multi-talented handyman and indeed the jester of the family. His infectious laughter and colourful stories are echoing in our hearts. He loved and was loved in return. I'm picturing him now with Nester, joking around as they did so well on earth - two heavenly jesters spreading their cheer beyond the clouds! Remember us kindly too dear Godfather.

Mr. Kurtick was my High school Science teacher and his daughters and their husbands are friends going back to Eddy Farm days. I remember him as a kind man and a great teacher. Rest in peace sir.

he was a brilliant science teacher, very approachable and very friendly to the point where he was a friend. I graduated in 1971, I had him a few times during my high school years. a wonderful and kind fellow, whom I remember always fondly. rest in peace dear teacher
