Obituary of Dale McElroy

Dale “Lynk” McElroy of Port Jervis, NY passed away at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY on March 23^rd, 2024.

Born to James McElroy and Marjorie Galewater McElroy on February 24, 1952, Lynk spent his life helping others.

A man devoted to making things work, Lynk was a well-respected mechanic for many years.

He is survived by his sister Sharon Hoff of Westtown, NY, sister Carol Shroeder of Florida, sister Cathy Lehman of North Carolina, daughter Kelly Sullivan of Port Jervis, NY, daughter Marjorie McElroy of Greeley, PA, son Richard McElroy and girlfriend Marisa of Port Jervis, and son James McElroy and his wife Michelle of Port Jervis, as well as his grandchildren Lawrence, Elizabeth, Erin, Lynsey, Emily, Elana, Ethan, Allyson, Addison, Carly, and one great-grandson, Bryce.

He was predeceased by his wife Rose McElroy, brother Richard McElroy, sister Yvonne “Sis” Slockbower, brother, Walter McElroy, brother George McElroy, brother Gary McElroy, son-in-law Neil Sullivan, and grandson Matthew McElroy.

Lynk will be missed by many, including his long-time friends Rob Miller, Frank Brigham, and Ronnie Robinson, as well as his spoiled fat cat, Charlie.
