Obituary of Dennis Adkins

Dennis Adkins of Godeffroy, died on April 24, 2024 surrounded by his family at Bon Secours Community Hospital.  He was 76.

The son of the late Hartley & EddieMae (Roop) Adkins, he was born on October 14, 1947 in Charleston, West Virginia.

In addition to his parents Dennis was predeceased in life by his first wife Barbara his son Charles and brothers Lonny  & MacArthur (Buddy) Adkins.

Beloved husband of Rose Helen Adkins at home.  Devoted father of Anna Hedges (Pat).  Cherished grandfather of Thomas Cilorso Jr., Mark Idsall Jr., Olivia, Jazmyn and  Patrick Hedges.  Great grandfather of Mason Cilorso.  Dear brother of Darril Adkins, Joe Adkins, Juanita, Priscilla, Hazel and Ruby.  Dennis was an uncle and great uncle to many. 

Visitation Monday 4/29 from 4 to 7:00PM at the KNIGHT-AUCHMOODY Funeral Home 154 East Main Street Port Jervis, NY.  Funeral Service Tuesday 11:30AM 4/30 at the Funeral Home.  Following services, a private cremation will take place at MacLennan Hall Crematorium.
