Obituary of Frederick A. Dombrowski, Jr.

Frederick A. Dombrowski, Jr. age 80 of Port Jervis, NY, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern, NY. He was born in Newark, New Jersey on March 19, 1941, the son of Frederick A. Dombrowski, Sr. and Gertrude Grienus Dombrowski. Fred proudly served our country from 1960-1964 with the US Air Force. He was an active and faithful member of the First Assembly of God Church in Port Jervis. Fred married Rev. Carol Bloom Dombrowski, who survives at home. He is also survived by his children; Eric Dombrowski of Mt. Morris, NY, Christopher Dombrowski (Ellen) of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Sarah Saffran (Shawn) of Cockeysville, Maryland, and his beloved grandchildren Lila and Riley Saffran. He is also survived by his brother Richard Dombrowski (Jean) of Montgomery, Texas and several nieces and nephews. Fred was pre-deceased by his son Brian Dombrowski and his sister, Joan (Bill) Heidel. Memorial gathering will be held 10 AM-11 AM on Friday, December 3, 2021 at First Assembly of God Church, 13 US Route 6, Port Jervis, NY with service to immediately follow. Rev. Thomas Zahradnik will officiate. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frederick’s name to the Tri-State Warming Station, c/o First Presbyterian Church PJ, 60 Sussex st., Port Jervis, NY 12771.
