Obituary of Georgianna Hughes

Georgianna “Gigi” Hughes age 55 of Port Jervis, NY passed away, Thursday, December 9, 2021 in Philadelphia, PA. She was born on May 8, 1966 in Port Jervis, NY, the daughter of the late Terry Cole and Linda Mills Murphy of Sumerduck VA, who survives. Gigi worked for Belmay Corporation in Chester, NY until she became ill. She married Dennis L. Hughes, who survives at home. Gigi is also survived by her four daughters; Heather Millman and her husband Joshua of Port Jervis, Alexis Hughson of Port Jervis, Kirsten Hughson of Port Jervis, Shelby Hughes of Tiffin, Ohio, and her son Brandin Hughes of Findlay, Ohio, her beloved six grandchildren; Joshua Millman, Jr., Paige Millman, Lilli Decker, Liam Gardner, Layne Hughes and Trinity Emahiser, her brother, Harvey Cole and his wife Lorraine of Los Angeles, California, her sister, Sandra Hamon of Snoqualmie, Washington, her step-father, Michael Murphy of Sumerduck, Virginia, and several nieces and nephews. Gigi touched so many lives and was like a “Mother” to all the children she knew and loved. Visitation will be held 11 AM-1 PM, Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM, Thursday, at the funeral home. Rev. Amy Garrett will officiate. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, NY.
