Obituary of Nancy Lombardo Johnson

Nancy Lombardo Johnson, age 82 formerly of Port Jervis, NY passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the Milford Health and Rehabilitation Center in Milford, PA. She was born on May 25, 1939 in Sparta, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Howard and Hazel Sliker Spangenberg. Nancy retired as a technology monitor for St. Francis Hospital in Port Jervis, after many years of dedicated service. Upon moving to Georgia, Nancy continued to work at the Upson Regional Hospital in Thomaston, Georgia until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s R.C. Church in Port Jervis. Nancy married Michael Lombardo, who predeceased her and then Jesse Johnson, who also predeceased her. She is survived by her two sons; Thomas Lombardo, and his wife Karen of Sparrowbush, NY, and David Lombardo of Sparrowbush, her daughter, Michelle Sommers and her husband Ed of Meansville, Georgia, her beloved grandchildren; Thomas Lombardo, Jr, and his fiancé Cassie Napier, Teresa Lewis and her husband Daniel, Edward Sommers, Nancy Sommers, Rachael Fleming, her great grandchildren; Johnathan Kulp, Michael and Landen Sommers, Tyler Lombardo, Edward Sommers, Jr., Katara Fleming-Stewart, and Cade Lewis, her sister-in-law Barbara Spangenberg and brother-in-law Cyrus Johnson, her step-son Joseph Johnson her close friend Dion Wolff, several nieces and nephews. Nancy was pre-deceased by her two brothers; Roger and Donald Spangenberg and her step-daughter, Phyllis Johnson. Interment will take place at Westwood Gardens in Griffin, Georgia.
