My favorite memory of Russ, and one he loved to tell the story about, is the day when I was about 6 or 7 that he and I won the three-legged sack race at a Case Hoyt family picnic. That memory will be with me forever.

I loved spending time with him sitting in the living room talking history or watching old movies. However my favorite memories are of when he danced, especially with Grandma. He had a light inside him and a spirit of fun that always showed when you danced with him.

Russell’s favorite story to tell about us was the 3-legged bag race we did together at a Case Hoyt family picnic when I was about 7 years old. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him laugh so much. He was the only one I let call me Chrissy. Thanks for this special memory.
