I was so very saddened to learn of the passing of Jimmy Hendry. This world can ill afford to lose fine, upstanding and caring people like Jimmy. He will be sorely missed. I had the great pleasure to know Jimmy when he was my landlord for 10 years. I never met a kinder, more genuine and compassionate person. Despite his early schedule and long hours of working, he was ever approachable and always took to the time to stop and see how we were doing or if we needed anything. He was so very kind. He was a pillar of the community, took an interest in people and accepted them as they came. He was engaging, personable and could speak intelligently on any subject. It was such a great pleasure to converse with him and to just spend time with him. I'm a better person for having known him. He was a really sweet guy. He worked hard, loved his family dearly and had a soft spot for animals. He always marveled at my twentysomething-pound cat, Sasquatch. Jimmy was ever kind and generous and I shall always remember him fondly. My sincere condolences to Ginny, Jimmy and Mark and their immediate and extended families. God Bless you all.
